It seemed like we won't be playing lots of "last-gen games" on the Sony NGP, if all these demoes are accurate. Sony's NGP, the successor to the PSP, has quad-core ARM processor with unknown graphic engine on it, besides all those touchscreens and motion sensors and gyro and whatnot. And well we have good news, as the game developers are all eager to unleash and crunch the potential of that quad-core handheld.
The new 'Uncharted' for NGP that's using a brand new graphic engine that looks awesome, besides 'Wipeout' HD that also looks fantastic on the NGP. Developers are also keen on fully utilizing the new dual-analog and those touchscreen on the front and the back.
The video shows early developer unit being tested by game developers, and they look awesome, and that's because Sony is focusing on software over hardware, as the hardware is literally quite powerful as it is already. “They're the right size, but they don't possess that final PlayStation-quality fit and finish,” says the official blog, “What you'll eventually be able to pick up in a store will look a heck of a lot better.”
Oh, and also, Sony's going to follow the Tegra 2 gaming platform style, which means that you can play the exact same game for multiplayer with other Sony products, like the PS3. Check out all three videos below to better understand why the new Sony NGP is quite literally the epidemic of handheld gaming.
